'Time to come together': Defiant Biden tells House Dems he won't drop out in new letter

President Joe Biden on Monday sent a letter to Democrats on Capitol Hill letting them know that he is in the 2024 presidential race to win it and that he will not drop out.In the letter, Biden emphasized that he handily won the 2024 Democratic presidential primary with overwhelming numbers and that trying to push him out would be a blow to the millions of voters who backed him."Do we now just say this process doesn't matter?" he asked Democrats rhetorically. "That the voters don't have a say? I decline to do that."The president then reupped his pledge to once again defeat Trump in 2024, which he called a matter of grave importance to the future of American democracy."After January 6th, Trump has proven that he is unfit to ever hold the office of President," he emphasized. "We can never allow him anywhere near that office again. "It's time for it to end. We have one job. And that is to beat Donald Trump... Any weakening or lack of clarity about the task ahead only helps Trump and hurts us. It is time to come together, move forward as a unified party, and defeat Donald Trump."
