'Watching you unravel': J.D. Vance's brag about answering 'tough questions' backfires

Donald Trump's running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio, bragged on social media on Sunday about his recent TV news appearances, generating some serious criticism. Vance, who earlier in the day shocked a CNN host with a "weird" answer during an interview, took to social media afterward to brag about answering various journalists' "tough questions." "I enjoyed sitting down with three of the major networks today to answer the tough questions any leader should answer," he said Sunday. "Kamala Harris has done as many tough interviews as Tim Walz has battlefield deployments." How many neutral, sit-down interviews has Trump done? And he's been campaigning since 2021!" One popular X account, @Out5p0ken, replied with, "It was great to watch you not defend your wife, and not give a s--- about women not being able to decide on their own healthcare. Please do more interviews." Another user, @EastEndJoe, asked, "Did you sit on a couch?" Veteran Jared Ryan Sears said that, " Harris/Walz are crushing you and increasing their lead." "You, Vance, are one of the most disliked politicians in the United States," he added. "Trump is s becoming more unhinged and ranting about conspiracies. But I'm sure Democrats will take your criticism of your impending defeat to heart." The actual date of the notice was March 2005 but that doesn't fit your narrative because he filed his papers to run in Feb 2005."
