Service, Commemoration of the 79th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence in Washington DC

The flag-raising ceremony for the national flag, the Red and White, in commemoration of the 79th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia for the Washington DC area and its surroundings took place at Wisma Indonesia, the official residence of the Indonesian Ambassador to the United States (US). This year's Indonesian Independence Day celebration was short and solemn, attended by around 400 Indonesian citizens and diaspora, along with officials and staff members and their family members. The flag-raising ceremony was led by the Chargé d'Affaires Ad-Interim (KUAI) of the Indonesian Embassy in Washington DC, Ida Bagus Made (Sade) Bimantara and Marine Major Herwan Putra as the ceremony commander.
