Philadelphia (VOA) — The Philadelphia Police, United States (US) in a written statement to VOA, Friday (9/8), said that the Indonesian citizen (WNI) who carried out the stabbing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Sunday (4/8) has been charged with murder, possession of a criminal instrument, committing acts recklessly endangering others and destruction of evidence. In the statement, the defendants were identified as Lim F. Pranasurya alias Feri, aged 60, while the victim was named Rahariyati Andayani or Yeni, aged 55. The two Indonesian citizens are known to have been in the United States since last year, the Indonesian Consulate General in New York told VOA in Philadelphia on Friday. “So they arrived here in August last year and worked in Philadelphia,” said Secretary I/Consul of the Indonesian Consulate General in New York Wanry Wabang, who met with the Philadelphia Police investigation team together with the Indonesian police attaché from the Indonesian Embassy in Washington DC, Brigadier General Oktavianus Marthin. Police said the stabbing was domestic in nature, a crime involving physical violence committed by a partner or ex-partner.
