Critics over the weekend seized on a newly unearthed video of Donald Trump's vice presidential candidate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), talking about "women who can't have kids." Vance is facing even more scrutiny about his attitude towards women with the Guardian reporting that he launched an attack against professional women in a 2021 podcast. As the Guardian's Jason Wildon reported on Saturday morning, Trump's running mate made the comments on the podcast that was uploaded to YouTube in September of 2021, where, besides complaining about women pursuing careers, he also attacked Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN). In part of the video, Vance says, "Okay, clearly, this value set has made me a miserable person who can’t have kids because I already passed the biological period when it was possible. And I live in a 1,200 sq ft apartment in New York and I pay $5,000 a month for it.” ALSO READ: Why Trump’s Arlington controversy is actually a crime Critics were quick to insult the video. University of Texas law professor Lee Kovarsky said, "I know people are like 'OMG this is evil' but i can't get past how comically dumb it is." Former top Justice Department prosecutor Andrew Weissmann also chimed in: "What the hell…this is the person Trump thinks [should] be one heartbeat away from the Presidency." Former Marine pilot Amy McGrath, who served 20 years in the armed forces, said in response, "He just has this weird thing against women who don't have children. It's bizarre." Former Republican strategist Tim Miller said, "I don't think I've ever met a bigger d-----bag in my life than J.D. Vance." Biden '20 ad writer Cliff Schecter, asked, "Is every word JD Vance burps up an admission about his life or only 11 outta every 12 words?" You can watch the video below or click the link.
