'You should be worried': MSNBC's Morning Joe warns that 'capitalism loses' if Trump wins

MSNBC's Joe Scarborough warned business elites that a second Donald Trump presidency would endanger their profit margins.The "Morning Joe" host waxed poetic about American capitalism, saying it had lifted more people out of poverty than any other economic system in history, but he said the former president had made clear he wanted to gather autocratic powers to reward loyalists and punish his enemies."If you believe in American capitalism, you should be worried about Donald Trump being elected," Scarborough said. "We always talk about democracy. That is the antithesis of Madisonian democracy, it is the antithesis of checks and balances, as laid out in the United States Constitution. What that should do is worry CEOs, it should worry entrepreneurs, that should worry capitalists, because that's what you get in corrupt nations where you have a strong man who picks winners and losers.""That's when competition, that's when the free market, that's when the invisible hand is slapped by the autocrat running the state," Scarborough added.
