In Albania, the EU Delegation today considered “a step not in the right direction”, the decision of the parliament which prevented the sending to the Constitutional Court of the issue of the mandate of the MP and former Foreign Minister Olta Xhaçka. Meanwhile, during the day the Speaker of the Parliament Elisa Spiropali announced that she had addressed the Venice Commission, to resolve what the majority sees as a deadlock created in relations with the Court, for cases of incompatibility of the mandate of the deputy. But for the democratic president Sali Berisha, such an action is seen as an attempt to justify what he described as an unconstitutional coup. Unlike the other two times, the socialists chose to abstain en masse, to achieve the same result: not sending to the constitutional court the issue of the mandate of deputy and former minister Olta Xhaçka.
