UK Considers Outdoor Smoking Ban

London (AP) — UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has confirmed his government is considering moves to extend the smoking ban to outdoor areas in a bid to improve public health. However, the service industry, such as restaurants and pubs, believes the move will force more businesses to close. Smoking indoors has been illegal in the UK for almost two decades. Now the UK government wants to extend the ban to not just indoor areas in pubs and restaurants, but also to outdoor areas.
