BROOKLYN — A professional photographer won just $940 in statutory damages plus post-judgment interest after successfully suing a Queens-based publishing organization liable for copyright infringement. The photographer could not convince the court, at bench trial, that the infringement was willful and he did not provide a licensing fee, reliable proxy or other evidence of a loss that could justify his request for $12,775 in damages.
