Cooler claims under fire

BROOKLYN — Igloo can’t dodge a class action accusing the company of falsely marketing some of its coolers as biodegradable, made from recycled materials and made in the United States. Although a federal judge in New York declined to determine at this point in litigation whether a reasonable consumer would be misled by the claims, he ruled that the consumers bringing the suit plausibly alleged that Igloo’s representations are potentially deceptive or misleading.
