Swiss businesses will implement 12 reconstruction and modernization initiatives in Ukraine worth over 93 million Swiss francs, Ukraine’s Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture announced. At a ceremony hosted by the Swiss Embassy in Kyiv, representatives of the winning companies under the first SECO (State Secretariat for Economic Affairs) competition presented projects aimed at accelerating Ukraine’s recovery. Only Swiss companies with a registered legal entity in Ukraine were eligible. Key initiatives include:🔹 Modular housing for internally displaced people.🔹 Installation of sectional isolators for the Ukrzaliznytsia railway network and localized production of rail fastening systems.🔹 Construction of solar power plants and modernization of vocational education facilities.🔹 Establishment of a repair center for demining equipment.🔹 Creation of Ukraine’s first brachytherapy center for cancer treatment. All projects will begin in autumn 2025, bringing not only physical reconstruction but also new jobs, production capacity, and economic opportunities for local communities. The ministry emphasized that these Swiss-led efforts will strengthen Ukraine’s recovery and industrial development while deepening economic cooperation between the two countries.
