Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said that there can be no easing of sanctions pressure on Russia as long as Russian aggression continues. He said this at a joint press conference with his Norwegian counterpart Espen Barth Eide in Kyiv, Ukrinform reports. The head of Ukrainian diplomacy informed that during the talks, the parties separately touched upon the issue of strengthening sanctions against Russia. “We share the position that pressure on the aggressor must be maintained and increased. Moscow will engage in deception, not negotiations, until it feels real power - diplomatic, military, and sanctions. There can be no easing of pressure as long as Russian aggression continues,” Sybiha said. He added that Russia is an existential threat to Europe, and defending against it is a common goal of Europeans and Ukrainians. The Foreign Minister noted that he had informed the Norwegian side about the results of the talks in Saudi Arabia. “Ukraine has proven that it is not an obstacle to peace. Now Russia has to show by concrete actions, not manipulations, its real desire to end the war. Otherwise, it will be necessary to increase pressure on Moscow,” the minister emphasized. During the talks on March 25, the United States and Ukraine agreed to ensure safe navigation, avoid the use of force, and prevent the use of commercial vessels for military purposes in the Black Sea. The White House also reported that, following talks between the American and Russian delegations on March 24, the United States would help restore Russia's access to the global market for agricultural products and fertilizers. The Kremlin said that the agreement on the safety of navigation in the Black Sea will come into force only after some of the restrictions against Russia are lifted.
