Slovenia’s President announces visit to Kyiv

Slovenia's President Nataša Pirc Musar will arrive in Kyiv on June 27 to sign a bilateral security agreement with Ukraine. This was reported by STA. Nataša Pirc Musar has stated that the text of the bilateral agreement will be similar to the text of those agreements Ukraine has already signed with states "that are willing to help the country". "In fact, Ukraine is protecting the entire structure of international law," Pirc Musar pointed out, according to TV Slovenija. No other details about the visit have been disclosed yet. In June, it was revealed that Slovenia had provided Ukraine with "a huge amount" of military aid, including 26 BOV amphibious armored combat vehicles, three M80A infantry fighting vehicles, some HMMWV military vehicles, and drones, as well as humanitarian and financial aid as Ukraine was waiting for the US to approve a $60 billlion aid package. The country also joined the Czech initiative to purchase ammunition for the Armed Forces with €1 million. Earlier, UATV English reported that the EU and Ukraine may sign a security agreement on June 26.
