Ukraine receives two-thirds of Germany’s military equipment export

The majority of German arms export goes to Ukraine as it keeps resisting the Russian Federation's vicious aggression. That's according to Economy Ministry 2024 data, dpa reports. Between January 1 and June 18, the German government approved total weapons exports worth at least €7.48 billion, which is 30% more than in the first half of 2023. The exports worth €4.88 billion, which makes around 65% of them, were destined for Ukraine. Overall Germany's weapons exports for the whole of last year hit a record €12.2 billion, which is again mostly related to cooperation with Ukraine, fighting against Russia. The other largest recipients of German arms include Singapore (€1.21 billion), India (€153.75 million), Saudi Arabia that intensified the procurements (€132.48 million) and Qatar (€100 million).
