US congressmen and senators stand for lifting ban on long-range strikes for Ukraine

The US congressmen and senators support Ukraine's request to lift restrictions on the use of long-range weapons to hit Russian military sites. That's according to Yehor Cherniev, the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on National Security, Defence, and Intelligence, official X account of Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada reported. "At the same time, the final decision is made not in Congress, but in the White House, which can be influenced by congressmen," adds the statement. Cherniev's statement comes after the U.S. Senate delegation visited Kyiv and met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and other officials on August 12. Then, U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (Republican) also supported Ukraine's operation on Kursk Oblast, calling it "bold, brilliant, beautiful". On August 12, U.S. senators Lindsey Graham (R) and Richard Blumenthal (D) discussed further military aid for Ukraine with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.  Read also: Biden gives first comment on Ukraine’s operation in Kursk region The post US congressmen and senators stand for lifting ban on long-range strikes for Ukraine appeared first on Freedom.
