Belarus deploys aircraft and air defence troops on Ukraine border, — AP

Russia's satellite, Belarus, has deployed its military aircraft and air defence units on the border with Ukraine, AP reported on August 19. Commander of the Air Force and Air Defence Forces of Belarus Major General Andrey Lukyanovich claims that anti-aircraft missiles and soldiers from radio engineering corps serve as "significant reinforcement" of the Belarusian defence on the border. A day earlier, Alexander Lukashenka claimed that his state had to station one third of its army on the border with Ukraine. However, he didn't specify the exact number of the soldiers. It is assumed that the Belarusian army has about 60,000-63,000 soldiers. Lukashenka describes this move as a respond to Ukraine amassing its troops on the border. However, Andrii Demchenko, a spokesperson for the Ukrainian border service, said that nothing changed on the border with Belarus in a statement for Ukrainska Pravda. Earlier, Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenka made a rather strange statement that Ukraine was trying to escalate the situation so that Russia uses nuclear weapons as it would 'bring them [Ukrainians] joy'.
