Some of Ukraine’s allies do not fulfill their promises regarding the supply of air defense, – Bloomberg

Several of Ukraine's NATO allies are falling short on their promises to expedite the delivery of air defense systems and other military equipment, according to sources cited by Bloomberg. These sources revealed that multiple NATO member countries have yet to fulfill commitments they reaffirmed at last month's alliance summit in Washington. This includes pledges to send at least five additional long-range defense systems. Recently, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged allies to accelerate the provision of military aid. "Regarding supplies from our partners, acceleration is essential. We earnestly request this. There are no holidays in war. Timely decisions and logistics for the announced packages are critical. I am particularly appealing to the United States, the United Kingdom, and France," Zelenskyy stated in his address on August 18. Many of the promised NATO support measures are unlikely to arrive before the fall, a period when Russia is expected to exploit Ukraine's vulnerabilities and intensify attacks on critical infrastructure, the sources indicated. One official noted that as Russia advances, the level of support among Ukraine's allies remains inconsistent. Another pointed out that some allies are lagging in supplying military equipment to Ukraine's reserve forces, which is undermining the country's defense capabilities.
