Chair of Bundestag Defence Committee: Ukraine’s success in Kursk region reason for more Leopard2 tanks from Germany

Marcus Faber claims that German Leopard2 tanks "make a difference" when it comes to defeating Putin, hence, Germany has to increase such delieveries. He wrote this on X on August 16. "The success of Ukraine should lay the basis for talks about the further deliveries of Leopard2 and Fuchs," Faber stressed. According to the German official, Germany has provided only 5% of its Leopard2 stocks to Ukraine and hasn't yet launched deliveries of Fuchs armoured vehicles. Faber noted that Ukraine's incursion into Russia's Kursk Oblast is "impressive" and Putin failed to fight it off. But to achieve peace in Europe, Germany must continue to provide great military support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Earlier, the Chair of Defence Committee fully supported the use of German weapons by the Ukrainians in the Kursk region.
