Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said that Ukraine should be allowed to strike deep into Russia, despite Moscow's threats that it would draw the North Atlantic Treaty Organization into direct war with Russia. At a press conference in the city of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, in the Canadian province of Quebec, Trudeau said that Canada "fully supports Ukraine in the use of long-range weapons" that will prevent Russian attacks on hospitals and kindergartens. "Putin is trying to seriously destabilize the rules-based international order that protects us all, not just in every democracy in the world, but in every country in the world," Trudeau added. The Canadian prime minister emphasized that Ukraine must win in the fight against the Russian invasion, otherwise it will encourage other major countries to try to take over their neighbors. Trudeau's words came after Kremlin master Vladimir Putin said that allowing Ukraine to hit Russia with Western missiles would mean direct participation of NATO and European countries in the war in Ukraine. The head of the British government, Keir Starmer, in response to Putin's intimidation, said that it was the head of the Russian Federation who started the war in Ukraine and he can end it at any moment. The EU also stated that Putin's threats will not change the EU's position regarding support for Ukraine.
