Bocas Reading Circle returns

The Bocas Lit Fest Family Reading Circle returns on August 10 from 10 am-12 pm at the Writers Centre, Alcazar Street, St Clair. In a release, the reading circle said eight-year-old Amayah Wallace-Aniebonam will be featured. She began her digital journey at age seven with her Facebook page and YouTube channel Reading with Amayah. She will be unveiling her first children’s book, adding her name to the roster of children’s-literature authors from TT. “Come and enjoy an engaging read-aloud session, hosted by the Bocas Lit Fest in partnership with Let’s Read, where stories come to life for children, fostering a lifelong passion for reading while enhancing essential language, comprehension, and emotional skills,” the release said. Let’s Read will also bring its extensive collection of children’s books for exploration, offering valuable tips for parents on how to make reading aloud a joyful experience at home. As an exclusive offer for those who attend, Paper Based Bookshop at The Writers Centre is offering a special bundle for $150, which includes a limited-edition NGC Bocas Lit Fest Children’s Caravan T-shirt, a button and the latest edition of the Children’s Storytelling Caravan, Book 9. These illustrated stories, created by children for children, are designed to spark young readers’ imaginations, the release said. The event is free and open to all, no registration required.
