Action needed to ease cost of living pressure

THE EDITOR: TT is facing a severe cost of living crisis. Every trip to the grocery store reveals higher prices on almost everything, straining household budgets. The relentless rise in real estate prices makes owning a home increasingly unattainable, while car prices soar, adding to the financial burden. Rent hikes exacerbate the situation, leaving many struggling to afford housing. This economic strain is felt across all aspects of life, from groceries to transportation and housing. The middle class is particularly hard-hit, facing dwindling purchasing power and mounting expenses. This crisis calls for urgent policy interventions to stabilise prices and ease the financial pressures on citizens, and the stress of crime impacting everyone.
