Reggae icons Junior Kelly (Keith Morgan) and Isasha (Brendan Young) will feature at Steel Restaurant and Lounge’s Adrenaline Rush event on August 14 at South Park Mall in Tarouba, from 7 pm. Kelly is already in Trinidad and plans to deliver an energetic performance from his catalogue of hits over the past three decades. Kelly, 54, is world-renowned for mega-hits such as Love So Nice, Sunshine and Smile and has released over 19 individual albums and a host of others, collaborating with other genre artists such as Sizzla Kalonji, Capleton and Luciano. The name of the event was inspired by the Adrenaline Rush riddim, on which Kelly and female artist Igena combined to create the popular lovers-rock hit When Can I See You. Additionally, TT reggae icon Isasha also headlines the reggae event and is no stranger to Steel Restaurant and Lounge. He has featured on multiple occasions at the weekly Reggae on the Park (Sundays) show and is well respected on the local and international scene. From hits such as Don’t You Know, Patience (sung with his late brother Million Voice) and Who Jah Bless, Isasha also has a slew of hits from over two decades in the reggae industry. Also featuring on the night will be Steel’s premier DJs Judah International, Scorpion International, DJ Mello and Brothers in Sound. Organisers also confirmed that part proceeds from the event will go towards a back-to-school drive to be held in the coming weeks. Adrenaline Rush will be hosted by MC Sunny Bling. Women are free before 9 pm, single tickets cost $150 and couples $200. The post Junior Kelly, Isasha at Steel Restaurant on August 14 appeared first on Trinidad and Tobago Newsday.
