The National Palace Museum, in cooperation with the Paris-based Museum of Decorative Arts and the jeweler Van Cleef & Arpels, is preparing to mount a special exhibition starting Sept. 26. “Beauty Speaks For Itself” will feature ceramics, clothing, jewels, pottery and sculpture from around the world, including a delicate boat carved from an olive pit during the Qing dynasty.
