Less traffic on Flemish highways, but more traffic jams

Fewer cars and trucks drove on Flemish highways last year than in 2019, the year before COVID-19. Nevertheless, traffic congestion was at its highest level ever in 2023, according to the Flemish Traffic Center’s annual overviews. On an average working day in 2023, almost 3% fewer vehicle kilometers were traveled on Flemish highways than in 2019, a 2% increase compared to 2022. Continue reading at newmobility.news.
