Media personality and seasoned broadcaster Hulisani Ravele is easing back into the spotlight, doing things on her own terms. In September 2023, she embarked on a sabbatical, hanging up her mic at Primedia’s 947, allowing herself for the first time in her 26-year career to take a break. This Women’s Month, Ravele will make an appearance on Kaya 959’s Feel Good with Andy Maqondwana as guest host of the “Girl Let’s Talk” feature every Wednesday afternoon during August.“As I enter this 27th year of my career, the time off has matured my sense of self and heightened my desire to continue doing work that has purpose, power and impact,” said Ravele.“My sabbatical plunged me into a solitude that had me wrestling with many emotions. Fully accepting that this was my era of stillness and a time to just remember who I am, was an important hurdle for me to overcome,” she adds.
