FORMAL INQUIRY: Explainer: Probes into Implats conveyance cage tragedy that killed 13 will be long and winding
Getting to the bottom of the conveyance cage tragedy on 27 November last year at Impala Platinum’s (Implats’) Rustenburg mine will be a long and winding process. Thirteen miners died after the cage hoisting them to the surface of 11 Shaft jarringly reversed course into a rapid and lethal descent.
