Nordic Embassies in the Philippines and the local government of Pasig City have signed a memorandum of understanding supporting the latter’s transition to a circular economy. Ambassadors Harald Fries of Sweden (left), Franz-Michael Mellbin of Denmark (second from left), Christian Halaas Lyster of Norway (second from right) and Saija Nurminen of Finland (right) inked the agreement with Mayor Victor Ma. Regis “Vico” Sotto (center). The MOU is part of the embassies’ joint initiative on circular economy, through the support of the Nordic Council of Ministers and The Nordic Council. The collaborative project will focus on sharing Nordic knowledge and technology, driving social behavioral change, as well as mainstreaming gender and inclusivity in the city government’s circular-economy programs. The Danish Embassy commended Pasig City’s “leadership in sustainability, and we look forward to working with the local government as a model city in the country for circular economy.” FB: EMBASSY OF DENMARK
