Sreeja becomes 1st Indian TT player to win WTT Contender Singles title

Sreeja Akula made history at the WTT Contender tournament by becoming the first Indian paddler to win a WTT Contender Singles title. In Muscat, Oman, Akula triumphed over China’s Ding Yijie with a 4-1 score. She also won the women’s doubles with Archana Kamath, defeating Diya Chitale and Yashaswini Ghorpade 3-0. Additionally, Harmeet Desai and Manav Thakkar secured gold in the men's doubles. With three golds and one silver, the Indian contingent showcased their talent and dedication on the international stage.
