India's captain announced his departure from T20I cricket after leading the team to its second World Cup victory in the format, describing it as the opportune moment to bid farewell. Rohit disclosed his choice during a press conference following India's seven-run victory over South Africa in the final at Kensington Oval, Barbados. "This was my final match as well. Rohit finishes his T20I career with 4231 runs from 159 matches, including five centuries and 32 half-centuries. He remains active in Test and ODI formats.
