Former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren was released from Ranchi's Birsa Munda Central Jail on Friday after being granted bail in an alleged land scam case. Soren, arrested on January 31, claimed he was falsely implicated and targeted politically. The court found no likelihood of reoffending. His advocate, Meenakshi Arora, argued against the charges, while the Enforcement Directorate alleged Soren abused his position to acquire land illegally. The order was issued by Justice Rongon Mukhopadhyay. Soren vowed to continue his political efforts despite his ordeal.
