New rules introduced at a tourist destination in Lonavla.

The Pune district administration has put restrictions in place at several well-liked picnic spots like Bhushi Dam and the Pavana Dam area, aiming to keep tourists safe in the monsoon season. From July 2 to  July 31, a new rule is in place that stops groups of five or more people from gathering, prevents individuals from going into deep water, and bans taking selfies and making reels at these places. The administration has implemented safety measures at risky tourist spots. These include marking dangerous areas, having lifeguards and rescue teams on standby, and putting up warning signs. This decision was made after an incident on Sunday where a woman and four children were swept away at a waterfall close to Bhushi Dam, a well-liked picnic spot in Lonavala, Maharashtra. Under the new Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and the Disaster Management Act-2005, section 163 will be enforced at various locations in different tehsils of Maharashtra. People who do not follow the rules at places like waterfalls, dams, and other tourist spots in different areas may face legal consequences. Local officials have been assigned to mark risky areas at tourist spots using lines and warning signs. They're also setting up safety measures like divers, rescue boats, lifeguards, and ambulances with first aid near water bodies popular with tourists to prevent accidents.
