These oldest inhabited termite mounds have been active for 34,000 years

Scientists in South Africa have discovered termite mounds dating to 34,000 years ago, making them the oldest inhabited termite mounds to exist. The mounds are said to have existed alongside saber-toothed cats and wooly mammoths while large parts of Asia and Europe were covered in ice.
