EC to talk to home secretary on Jammu & Kashmir security today
The Election Commission discussed security arrangements for upcoming assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir with the Union home secretary. Due to recent terrorist activity, over 16,000 security personnel will be necessary. Other considerations include climatic conditions, apple harvesting, and nomadic tribe migrations. The polls are expected to be scheduled after August 20.
