Why was Hezbollah using outdated pagers in 2024?

Pagers used by Hezbollah exploded across Lebanon, causing nine deaths and over 3000 injuries in what is suspected to be an operation by Israel's Mossad. Explosives were reportedly planted in the devices during production. This incident represents a major security breach for Hezbollah, which had adopted pagers to avoid Israeli surveillance.
