A significant movement is underway in the Korean entertainment industry as BTS’ global fanbase, ARMY, initiated a worldwide campaign on September 16, using the hashtag #MinHeeJinOut. The campaign is aimed at protesting the possible reinstatement of Min Hee Jin as the CEO of ADOR, a subsidiary of HYBE, and has gained immense traction in countries such as the US, UK, Germany, Poland, and Southeast Asia. In addition to trending globally, ARMY also released a detailed statement on X (formerly Twitter) on the same day, clarifying their opposition. Their main concerns revolve around Min Hee Jin's alleged actions against BTS during the members’ military service. ARMY claims that Min consulted with a shaman to harm BTS and manipulated Korean media to generate negative public sentiment against the group and its fans. The fanbase further condemned any media narratives supporting Min Hee Jin, believing they are part of her agenda to undermine BTS. They voiced frustration that the group is currently unable to speak out due to military restrictions, adding fuel to the fandom’s resolve. The #MinHeeJinOut movement was triggered by Min Hee Jin’s recent legal filing for an injunction to return to her role as CEO, after having stepped down on August 27. ARMY’s statement emphasized that BTS should not be used as a tool for anyone’s personal gain, calling for an end to her influence within HYBE and ADOR. This coordinated effort demonstrates ARMY’s unwavering support for BTS, as they continue to push back against what they view as unjust actions that could impact the boy band.
