The 90-year old living mermaids of Korea

For those who believe that the tale of mermaids is fantasy have to meet the living mermaids of Korea. They belong to the Haenyeo community on Jeju Island and are the living legends of the sea. Known as the '90-year-old mermaids,' they continue this tradition despite their age. Their culture is declining but received UNESCO recognition in 2016, which has boosted tourism and provided support.
