Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha starred in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, played the character of the antagonist Fareedan. The show streamed on Netflix and the viewers loved her acting in the series and she was acclaimed for her role. In conversation with a media portal, Sonakshi Sinha said, “I am very happy that someone imagined me. Sanjay Sir saw me in that kind of role. I am grateful to him. Also, I have been saying for a long time that I am interested in playing negative or villainous characters.” She further added, “Until he cast me for Fareedan, no one took me seriously. So I am grateful to him. As an actress, it is great to take on such challenges and do something different. How long will you play the role of a common girl, girlfriend, or loving wife? It was very fun for me to play that kind of role.” Heeramandi streaming on Netflix, starring Aditi Rao Hydari, Taha Shah Badussha, Richa Chaddha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Sehgal, Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha received mixed reactions from the audiences. Sonakshi Sinha recently tied the knot with long time boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal in a private ceremony. Professionally, Sonakshi was recently seen in her film Kakuda alongside Ritesh Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem streaming on Zee5.
