68th Independence Day Parade cancelled in Bawku

The Independence Day parade, observed nationwide on March 6 to commemorate Ghana 39;s freedom from British rule in 1957, were canceled in Bawku due to persistent insecurity in the area. An officer at the Bawku Municipal Education Directorate, speaking on condition of anonymity, revealed that the parade has not been held in the area since 2022.
