Ghana forward Kwabena Owusu joins Hungarian side Zalaegerszeg FC

Ghanaian international Kwabena Owusu has signed a six-month contract with Hungarian side Zalaegerszeg FC, aiming to strengthen the team’s attacking options.The 26-year-old forward brings a wealth of experience, having showcased his talent across several leagues.Owusu started his professional career in Ghana before moving to Spain, where he played for clubs like Real Oviedo, Leganés, Cartagena, Salamanca, and Córdoba.His success continued in Azerbaijan with Qarabağ FK, where he won the league title, followed by championship victories in Turkey with Ankaragücü and Hungary with Ferencváros.On the international stage, Owusu has represented Ghana at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations and made his debut in a friendly against South Africa the same year.Zalaegerszeg FC, renowned for their resilience and their 2002 Hungarian Cup triumph, is counting on Owusu’s experience and attacking quality to help the team climb the league standings and achieve its goals this season.Owusu will hope to convince the club to extend his stay after the end of the season.
