Ghanaian defender Derrick Kohn begins pre-season with Galatsaray

German-born Ghanaian defender Derrick Kohn has resumed pre-season with Turkish champions Galatasaray ahead of the new campaign.The left-back, who joined Galatasaray during the winter transfer window, played a huge role as they won the league title at the end of the season.Kohn joined his teammates at the club's training complex on Thursday as preparations began ahead of the new campaign.The team will travel to Austria next week to continue pre-season with Galatasaray set for a series of friendlies in Raiffeisen.Galatasaray will face Austria outfit LASK in their first preparatory game before engaging Fortuna Düsseldorf also at the Raiffeisen Arena.Later on, they will play AC Trencin of Slovakia, and Italian clubs Lecce and Parma before returning to Turkey to start the defence of their title.Kohn was born in Germany to Ghanaian parents and remains eligible to represent the Black Stars at senior level.
