Moldovan side Spartanii Sportul sign former Kotoko winger Isaac Oppong

Moldovan Superliga club Spartanii Sportul has announced the signing of 21-year-old winger Isaac Oppong as a free agent.Oppong, who was recently released by Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko, joins the Moldovan side after a challenging season with the Kumasi-based club.During his stint with Asante Kotoko, Oppong made 15 appearances, scoring twice and providing two assists. His performance was hindered by injuries, which contributed to the club’s decision to part ways with him as part of a squad revamp.Oppong was a member of the Asante Kotoko squad that won the Ghana Premier League title in the 2021/22 season under coach Prosper Narteh Ogum. However, his recent seasons were marred by injuries and inconsistent form, which saw Kotoko finish sixth in the league and end their last two seasons trophyless.Spartanii Sportul is hopeful that Oppong will bring new energy and creativity to their squad as they look to make a mark in the Moldovan Superliga.
