The Ghana Black Princesses have finally received their long-awaited bonuses from the Sports Ministry for their successful qualification to the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.Initially promised $6,000 each for their efforts in the qualifying rounds, the players ultimately received a revised amount of $4,500.While this reduction may have caused some disappointment, the payment brings much-needed relief to the team, who have been waiting for their dues since January. This development comes at a crucial time as the Black Princesses gear up to represent Ghana at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia, starting on August 31. Drawn into Group E, they will face tough competition against Japan, Austria, and New Zealand.Despite the reduced payment, the timely disbursement allows the players to shift their focus entirely to the tournament ahead. With their financial concerns addressed, the team can now channel all their energy and preparation toward making a strong impact on the world stage. The hope is that this support, though delayed, will boost morale and help the Black Princesses as they strive to make Ghana proud in Colombia.
