Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo delivered a standout performance for Elfsborg in the Swedish Allsvenskan, leading his team to a 2-1 victory over GAIS on Sunday.The 25-year-old opened the scoring in the 8th minute, setting the tone for Elfsborg's home win in the week 18 fixture at the Boras Arena.Although GAIS quickly equalized in the 14th minute through Alexander Ahl Holmström, Elfsborg regained their lead before halftime, thanks to an own goal by Anes Cardaklija.Despite being reduced to 10 men in the 66th minute, Elfsborg held on to secure the win.Baidoo’s compatriots, Jalal Abdullai and Terry Yegbe, also contributed to the victory, helping Elfsborg claim three crucial points.Abdullai lasted 75 minutes in the match after he was substituted by Leo Ostman while Yegbe enjoyed full minutes.Baidoo has made 17 appearances in Swedish Allsvenskan this campaign, scoring six goals and providing four assists in the process.
