Kotoko midfielder Baba Yahaya plays down title talk

Asante Kotoko midfielder Baba Yahaya has tempered expectations for the upcoming Ghana Premier League season.Despite the club's recent squad overhaul, the player has cautioned against making bold predictions about winning the title. The Porcupine Warriors finished a disappointing sixth last season, but Yahaya believes the team is making progress in pre-season.Kotoko's focus, according to the midfielder, is on securing maximum points in every match rather than fixating on the ultimate goal."We can’t raise our expectations so high. We’ve seen a lot of positives in our preseason so we hope it reflects in the league," he said."We can’t promise the Ghana Premier League title but we hope to secure maximum points in our games home or away"The club are set to face Medeama SC in a friendly match on Friday before their league opener against Karela United on the weekend of September 6-8.
