Kotoko midfielder Baba Yahaya has tempered expectations for the upcoming Ghana Premier League season, despite notable improvements in the team’s preparations.The Porcupine Warriors, who finished sixth in the domestic top-flight last season, have undergone a significant squad overhaul in response to their disappointing performance.Following the departure of over 20 players, Kotoko has signed more than 10 new faces, aiming to strengthen their squad for the 2024/25 season. Despite these changes, Yahaya cautioned against setting overly ambitious goals.“We can’t raise our expectations so high,” Yahaya said. “We’ve seen a lot of positives in our preseason, so we hope it reflects in the league. We can’t promise the Ghana Premier League title, but we hope to secure maximum points in our games, whether home or away.”Kotoko have already enjoyed success in their pre-season fixtures, securing two wins.
