Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku believes that his administration has made substantial progress in the development of football in Ghana.Speaking at the 30th Ordinary Congress held at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram, Okraku outlined key achievements and future goals.The 2024 Congress, themed "Winning the Twelfth Man - Fixing the Fundamentals; Consolidating Our Gains," showcased the strides made in capacity building, talent development, and infrastructure enhancement.Okraku highlighted a productive year, noting, "We have seen 12 months of fulfilment of a lot of things I spoke about in Kumasi, about a year ago. It's been 12 months of strategic/systematic support for our football clubs."He emphasised investments in training, revealing that over 1,500 coaches and 1,600 young referees have been trained."We have invested heavily in Capacity Building, training over 1,500 coaches leading to their acquisition of licences across all categories A-D whilst also building up our existing cadre of Referees and training about 1,600 young talents under our unique Catch Them Young Refereeing Policy," Okraku said.Okraku also stressed the importance of investing in youth development to ensure long-term sustainability."It is critical for all of us who invest in Ghana football to...
