Nsoatreman FC apologise to Bawumia over General Manager's comments over buses promise
Ghana Premier League side, Nsoatreman FC have distanced itself from the comments of General Manager, Eric Alagidede, over the promise made by vice president Dr Mahamadu Bawumia to clubs in the domestic topflight league. Dr Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party during the launch of his manifesto disclosed that when voted into power, his government will buy a bus for each Ghana Premier League club.Alagidede reacted to the promise claiming clubs want tax rebates rather than buses.However, his statement were strongly rejected by his own club, who released a statement apologizing while supporting Dr Bawumia's sports policies.The statement from the club read:Nsoatreman Football club has taken notice of a media publication in respect of a recent interview by our General Manager, Mr. Eric Alagidede.The club wishes to clarify the matter as follows: That the said interview was granted by Mr. Eric Alagidede in his personal capacity as an industry person, not on behalf of the club as the general manager.
