Let's take hooliganism out of our game - Ghana FA boss Kurt Okraku

Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has called for stronger measures to protect the integrity of the nation’s football.Speaking at a Meet the Press event on Friday in Sunyani, Okraku emphasised the need to eliminate hooliganism, which has plagued the sport in Ghana.Okraku, who is committed to bringing order and discipline to Ghanaian football, expressed his determination to end hooliganism at all levels.He urged all stakeholders to prioritize the protection of the sport, highlighting the importance of preserving its integrity."Under no circumstance should a referee lose his life for getting a decision wrong. Let's take hooliganism in any form out of our game. The product is supreme. We should hold and protect the product," Okraku stated.His remarks come at a crucial time as the GFA continues to work towards improving the standards of football in the country.By addressing issues such as hooliganism, Okraku aims to create a safer and more professional environment for players, officials, and fans alike.Okraku’s call to action underscores his commitment to ensuring that football in Ghana remains a respected and cherished sport, free from violence and misconduct.
