Ghana coach Yussif Basigi is confident that the blend of new and experienced players in the Black Princesses squad will stand them in good stead as they kick off their FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup campaign."Though this is the first major international competition for most of the players, we were fortunate to play two international friendly matches against Mexico and South Korea, which has helped them a lot," Basigi said. "They have gotten a feel of what to expect because these teams are also contenders."Basigi also pointed to the team’s experience at the African Games, particularly the final match against Nigeria in Cape Coast, played in front of a massive crowd."Our game against Nigeria has given them strength in terms of stage fright," he added, highlighting the importance of that experience as they prepare for the World Cup.With a mix of seasoned players like captain Stella Nyamekye and emerging talents, Basigi believes the team is well-prepared to handle the challenges ahead and make a strong impression on the world stage.Black Princesses will face Austria in their first match, followed by games against Japan and New Zealand.
