AFCON 2025 Qualifiers: Ghana aim for a positive start against Angola
The Black Stars of Ghana will be hoping for a good start in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers when they host Angola at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium. The team opened camp on Monday and trained in Accra on the same day before travelling to Kumasi to continue preparations.All twenty-four players have reported to camp with Alexander Djiku who pulled out being replaced by FC Basel centre-back Jonas Adjetey while Amankwah Forson was also a late addition.Coach Otto Addo has had a good start to his second stint as Ghana coach after back-to-back victories in the World Cup qualifiers. The former Dortmund trainer is confident of extending the run, stating Angola are a beatable side."I'm convinced that we can beat them, but it won't be easy. And also we had some injuries, but I think the squad is ready.
